Drawing on my previous understanding about learning theory, instructional design approaches, trends in educational technology, and related research,
I created a technology integration plan for my current work environment.
This work demonstrates my ability to research, evaluate, assess and develop a technology use plan for a real-world organizational learning gap.
In this project I created a one hour asynchronous course on time management for online students. The project consists of a performance analysis, facilitator and participant guides. This work demonstrates my ability to create instructional content that can be used by any instructor to teach the course.
This case analysis assignment provided the opportunity to connect broad insights from educational research into how people learn and contemporary perspectives operating in professional settings today with a real-world case in which designers enlist educational technologies to enhance learning. The work shows my ability to apply learning theory concepts to real-world instructional situations.
Visual design is an important aspect of creating effective and impactful learning content for learner. In this work I applied the design concepts of CARP (contrast, alignment, repetition, and proximity) in an evaluation of eLearning content. My work demonstrates my ability to effectively analyze visual design elements and make recommendations to improve the content.
Evaluation of Learning Systems is a systematic process of evaluation and the ways in which it can be used to foster change by informing the decision-making process, improving learning, and guiding other actions. The core focus of the course: basic evaluation concepts, the steps involved in conducting a systematic evaluation project, the analysis of evaluation data, the preparation and presentation of an evaluation report, and the ethical issues in evaluation. My work included responding to an RFP to evaluate a 2 hour eLearning course for the United Nations Cities and Climate Change learning group. The evaluation included analysis of the archival, survey, and focus group data with recommendations and assessment of the course.
Understanding distant learners and managing distance education systems is an essential strategy for learning officers. This course explored the theoretical framework, historical development, and practical applications of the distance education movements in a variety of contexts. My work evaluated and provided a case study for a LinkedIn Learning course on Change Management.
Understanding existing and emergent technologies, their potential value in shaping learning, and the potential consequences they might bring focusing on a high-level system view and examine certain “classes” of technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Mixed Reality, and others. My work focused on providing a strategic plan for the implementation of a Next Generation Digital Learning Environment at SAP.
